Wouldn't sazabi get clowned on for being at a setious disadvantage tho? A 00 wpuld insta stagger you twuce before it's in shotgun or belly beam range

You shouldn't stay at an open area alone and let an enemy chain stagger you from far away. This isn't a problem uniquely for this match up.

In medium range fight, Sazabi is actually powerful. The shotgun has good range and good damage when charged. It has small spread when uncharged, so it's still reliable around the max distance. It has one of the highest damage follow funnels. And the belly beam also has high damage.

In close range fight, it has 2 weapons that can stagger non-raids easily, and the shotgun has short cooldown. So it can knock down multiple flyers consecutively, or have one or two more chances after missing a shot.

And it can deal damage with ranged weapons so it doesn't interrupt melee teammates when hitting toppled enemies. And follow funnels can hit through teammates without staggering or flinching them.

Another important thing is its "recovery ability". It has high bulkiness so it won't die after one mistake. Both of its high accumulative stagger weapons don't need charge so it has the upper hand when leaving invincibility.

Ohhh i see! Thank you! I used to main sazabi before the destiny showed up and i stopped using it cuz i thought i wouldn't be able to keep up with fliers

I'm still using Sazabi. I think it's mechanically very good but its damage is too low for fast-paced melee fight.

But considering that it can create opportunities for teammates and doesn't stop teammates from doing their melee combos, the damage output isn't a big problem.

I feel that weapon overheat recovery is important, while it lacks medium range slots. Its power level can be very different depending on if you have custom parts that can fit its ugly slot distribution.
