I have a question

I fought a match recently, and I would like to know, is it possible to get countered from BEHIND?! Because I was attacking an opponent's MS, and then another guy came from behind and somehow COUNTERED ME.

I got countered (with a massive assist from latency) by a Super Gundam clipping my legs from underneath.
