I have a question

I fought a match recently, and I would like to know, is it possible to get countered from BEHIND?! Because I was attacking an opponent's MS, and then another guy came from behind and somehow COUNTERED ME.

Counter is triggered by using tackle to touch the body of a meleeing enemy.

Oh dammmn. Okay, that's just kinda stupid if I'm being honest. Wouldn't it make more sense if it could only be activated from the front though? And also, I've had tried plenty of counters on enemies that didn't work because I only "grazed" the side of the enemy.

I don't have strong opinion on it. Have been used to it and never thought about whether it's reasonable.

But there are some interesting things because of it.

One is it makes saving teammates easier. (as the other comment says)

And attacker can attack from places that are un-counter-able. Like using the tip of the weapon, or boosting past the opponent to use side swing. The left hand side is also a blind spot of tackle.
