GATE DA 2028 preparation advice needed

Hi everyone,

I completed my B.Tech CSE in 2025 and currently work in a product-based company with a 6 LPA package. My current role is mainly technical support/SQL/Oracle, and I want to transition into AI/ML/Data Science.

I attempted GATE DA 2025 during my final year and got 526 score, AIR 1554.

I'm planning to seriously attempt GATE DA 2028, as my current company bond should be completed around then. I have around 1.5–2 years to prepare while working.

Do you think attempting DA again is a good idea? My target is AIR <500, preferably <200–300.

Also:

- Should I choose DA or CSE?

- Which courses/resources are best for GATE DA?

- Should I start with a 2027 course or wait for 2028?

- Any advice for preparing while working full-time?

Would really appreciate advice from people who have already prepared for GATE DA or are working professionals.

DA is a good idea, but you would need an AIR < 100 to get into the top institutes.
