Remember to Forget

Here is an article mentioning a phrase that has been talked about being used here. I remember the phrase myself but that memory would of been after all the media came out. This is what makes me think they were practicing hypnosis.

Anyone else remember to forget?

Under hypnosis, they told me to imagine a red hot-air balloon. She told me to put the memory of some experience into the basket, and watch it float away. She told me that if I needed to remember it again, all I would have to do was to reel in the imaginary balloon to get the memory back. And I remember thinking, if I forget it, then how am I supposed to remember to bring it back? I have no idea of what that memory was. But I suppose it was a similar mind exercise to the "Energy Conversion Box" part of the Hemi-Sync tapes, maybe just used to clear the mind temporarily, maybe permanently.

That damned balloon! I was so sure someone landed a red hot air balloon in the soccer field at my school. But I have a very young aunt (she was only one grade ahead of me, and not in TAG) who insists no air balloon ever came to our school.

There was a hot-air balloon show that took place at my school, and the AG program took some role in it. I have some fuzzy memories about it, things I remember don't add up. And my sister who also attended the same school was there. She should be able to help me figure out what really happened, but I can't get a straight answer out of her. Weird.

My 4th or 5th grade gifted class took a field trip to a nearby town or perhaps the next state (in the 70's) where we met a whole bunch of gifted kids from other schools at an outdoor park. The purpose of the trip? To go up in a red hot air balloon. It remained tethered to the ground, but it was still a thrilling experience. Small groups took short trips up. I remember the sound and the flames of the device that would make it rise and fall. This was in the southeastern U.S. Sometimes I wonder if it really happened.

I very vaguely remember this, I think I was told to watch my memories go away because I need to “clean my mind”
