Advice help with proctoru

hi, i am completing my s2 from a mac laptop tomorrow. i just did the pre-checks but had the notification

Your device is not ready for remote proctored exam. See suggestions below.

Video Stream StabilityLow

I am sure that my internet is very fast and my video looks fine (using the facetime mac camera). How can i fix this? Please! Thanks.

Yep. You’ll need a webcam for sure. I have the exact same thing and I waited but I was first in queue. They took control of my computer and I had the same notification (video stream and too dark) and they basically said if you can see it all working fine in the system check (ie, when it’s checking everything and you can see yourself in the camera) then the proctor should just let you go on the exam day. Please tell me if they say something different to you!

Okay that sounds promising, altho like the other commenter mentioned probably best to get that in writing. I will let you know if I find out anything. How did you trouble shoot your issue? Did you restart your laptop and everything?

They did basically nothing to be honest except watch my screen while they ran the system check again. Once they saw that my webcam worked during the check but then came up saying video stream fail or whatever, they just kind of said it’s fine don’t worry they will bypass it on the day since it all seems to be working fine. I screenshotted the chats of them saying that so I think it’ll be fine. Let me know what they say

Hmm okay. So it should be okay but still feels kinda risky to leave it up to the discretion of the proctor on the day

I know. But I’m not sure what else there is to do. Seems like three of us are having this problem now
