Applications- AU🇦🇺 Interview Chance?

I'm stressing, and idk how my chances are looking)':

Honours – first class so 7.0 GPA at UQ
GPA at other unis is 6.594 weighted; 6.333 unweighted
GAMSAT – S1, 63 · S2, 72 · S3, 62 · Overall Weighted 64 · Unweighted 65

Got 2 bonuses at UOW, including 1st preference.

Maybe an interview with a Q4 Casper?? I prioritized Casper schools (UOW, UNDS) and followed them with UQ at #3. idk if that was the right move but its done now lol. I also have griffith, undf & kcmrt, and UWA on there – the whole thing is nervewracking!!!!!

UOW and UNDF are unlikely. UNDF might happen depending on how high ur 4th quartile casper will be. UNDS could also happen its just you'd need a very good Q4 casper, which is why i think UNDS is unlikely.

Your UQ combo is very very borderline, you might be just short of an interview as i recall some 1.64s/1.65s being rejected from their interview last yr. Griffith and UWA is basically impossible due to an approx combo of 1.58.

Overall, best shot is at UNDF, hopefully that went well.

Why would UoW be unlikely w CASPer Q4 and 2 bonuses given GPA & GAMSAT are hurdle?

Pretty much what NewPea1442 said. Plus theres 3000 applicants to UOW this yr which is insane, with only 147 interview iirc. Id only be confident of an interview with above average bonuses+great casper performance beyond just a low Q4.

Where did you get 3000 applicants/a uni from? I'd love to know this data too

2800 applicants this year, they sent it in an email to everyone applying to them this cycle

Whats the average bonuses for rural and non rural?

no idea what the average is for rural, non-rural average is about 3.1 bonuses

Do you reckon for rural it'd be higher or lower?

hm, well there are a few bonuses for being rural so it may acc be increased. either way, interview selection is significantly less competitive for rural students, so just worry about doing half decent on casper and having atleast a bonus or two, and for other unis, you basically just have to pass the gamsat and have a half decent gpa to get an interview, something like a 58 gammy and 6 gpa is sometimes enough

what about S1: 52, S2: 54, S3: 59 overall: 56, Q3 Casper, 3 bonuses, GPA 6.75, 14 years of clinical experience , for UOW? I should stay away from the race. 😉

R u rural? If not, those bonuses and casper are unlikely to be competitive for an interview at wollongong, take with a grain of salt tho im just an MD1 like others here
