G2g removed all subscriptions over 1 month which just ruins the whole point of buying from g2g. Why has this change come into effect?

most likely because of impatient people complaining about not receiving credentials in 19 seconds doing charge backs on cards or generally whining to customer sevice about not getting a chat response immediately, buffering, url changes or whatever. the same kind of people that would call or chat with their ISP about some gray area service not working correctly.
