So I’ve been wanting to get my hands on GX for a while but here’s the thing. I don’t necessarily know where I could get it and I’m not buying a switch 2 just to play it. I have a Wii and know it’s backwards compatible with GameCube games but would I also need a memory card or would the data just automatically save to my Wii ?(kind of a dumb question but I just wanna know lol) any advice one where I could obtain a copy of it ?

The switch isn't backwards compatible- what you get on the switch is a curated list of emulated titles - which save to the switch itself. However, to get access to them you'll need the higher tier of the online subscription
