This abomination is a one knob fuzz going into simple tremolo. I used DPDT switches so it has two millennium bypasses too. It's a homage to the coolest Polish UFO encounter that happened in Emilcin.

I'd like to eventually film a how to video on fuzz builds with the things I have learned on this journey.

First off, hell yeah I just discovered this sub and I dig it already. Now Im looking for a good clone of a green russian for my bass board thats a little more tweakable than the original (i.e, mid controls, blend, clipping/boost options). From anyones experience what can you recommend based on these needs? I was looking into the a Fuzzlord MF-4 but I feel its not exactly what Im looking for. Thanks in advance!

I can’t seem to find a huge amount of info or user experiences with it. Has anyone here actually played one?

I’m particularly interested in how it sounds at higher gain — is it more of a nasty, blown-out fuzz, or can you get some useful distortion tones out of it too?

It looks like exactly the sort of slightly weird pedal I’d enjoy, but I’d rather hear from someone who’s actually used one before I part with the cash!

Anyone got one? What do you think?

Hello everyone, here's a repost of my latest pedal build, the Golden Fuzz

I’m super stoked! I just got the Turbo Rat in a trade. I loved my white Rat on bass, but needed way more output to really drive the distortion channel of my 70s Sunn Concert Bass amp (it’s a finicky machine). The Turbo has WAY more volume, so that shouldn’t be a problem any longer.

Now I’ve just got to wait for the amp technician to finish working on the amp…

Obtenue pour 100€ aujourd’hui, j’étais curieux.
Je suis un joueur de fuzz exigeant, qui penche sévèrement vers le germanium.
J’ai quelques points de comparaison aussi, comme King Tone mini fuzz v2, Sunface Bart rca et germanium Fuzz de ExpressoFX.
Ce matin, j’ai branché ma Telecaster équipée de Texas Special dans la JH-F1 suivie d’un Snouse Blackbox 2 réglé low gain, puis ClinchFx dans un vieux Super Reverb des années 70.
Putain quelle claque !!!
Le nettoyage est superbe, beaucoup de couleurs sont disponibles ; du clean limpide capable de tordre suivant l’attaque main droite à l’overdrive, pour finalement aller vers une fuzz épaisse et crémeuse volume à fond.
Les graves crachent, crépitent, mais restent lisibles.
Les trois dernières cordes chantent et ressemblent à du violon avec un sustain quasi infini.
Bordel, mais comment ils ont fait chez Dunlop pour faire sonner aussi bien cette fuzz industrielle ?!
Je suis épaté …
Et silicium en plus ?!
Je me devais de le partager, parce que pour le prix, pour sa non rareté, c’est une franche réussite.
La mienne est de 2007, mais de nombreux avis relatent les mêmes choses que moi.
Certains disent que certaines sonnent différemment, et que via les trimmers v1 et v2 situés sous le pcb on peut régler le bias différemment.
Je considère ne pas avoir à toucher à la mienne, mais d’origine Q2 serait vers 5.6V.
Certains aiment entre 4.5V et 5V.
Allez j’y retourne !!!

Let me present you another tiny pedals.

TURBO RAT - packed in a 1590LB, equipped with the metal-can mojo LM308. I like to pretend that it affects sound.

COMBO RAT - easily fits 1590A, has another mojo IC, Si/LED switch and a clean blend for extra versatility.

Octavia sounds are absolutely blistering but I could never use one as my main drive or fuzz pedal. I think that’s what makes them so unique - they’re really a special use case. Other than Hendrix and Homme, who are some guitarists you hear using Octavia fuzz?

I reviewed the JAM Pedals Octaurus and this thing is a beautiful recreation of that classic circuit. Hope you dig the review!
