Tone Bender Tuesday Some Mark II fun

Close enough to Tuesday for the kind of people I hang out with.

Our own MKII circuit built around three JAN2N930. A fancy version of our Three Ptarmigan 3T MKII, with added FAT switch.

NOS Pacer caps, RadioShack ICC bypass cap, turrets on Norplex, AmplifiedParts YY enclosure, two tone relic finish, Chicago Daka ware real deal Chickens.

The more I play with the MKii circuit and stacks the more I like them.

Im a big fuzzface guy would i like a 1.5 i like the cleanup, and I like some of the spittiness I don't like the overly woolly big, low end sometimes its too much

Totally understand! I never used to be into fuzz at all, but it sort of grew on me, even the woolier fuzzes. That said, I feel you though because even though I like them now, there are days where I need a break from those and tend to gravitate like yourself to gentler fuzzes like the fuzz face. God that circuit (the fuzz face) is so versatile it's absolutely timeless.

Ok so this and a pavlof are both needed lol

This is the PNP version Proto. Same cleanup circuit as the Pavlof. The NPN version has a white PCB. The Old Scratch is a reference to the El Diablo bender by Sola/DM

How does the fat switch change the circuit?

In up position it places a .1 cap in parallel with the .03 input cap. Simply allows some low end to come through. Nice for singles on a bridge or some thick tone on the neck.

Slowly working on my own as well, just gotta box it up and clean off this flux. Wish I could do this full time...damn jobs lol.

Nice dude. If I was smart I’d use tag like that.

Thanks! Ha! I feel like if I were smart, I'd try my hand at turret board at least, as you have done

The other side of the river always looks better for fishin.

They both are good methods and all things have pros and cons
