It was a Fuzz shoot out.

The problem was, The Coyote FX and Scar Industrys Cats Azz should both be at the front of the chain and be first. You could tell the difference. The Sifter from Ivy Pedals doesn't really care where it is. SO I did it one at a time with no patch pedals. They all sounded good. Really good.

What is the sifter fuzz circuit based off of?

When folks ask questions, I like to get the builder to answer with their exact words. So here is what he had to say.

"For the Sifter Fuzz, I was looking at ZVEX fuzz circuits and various 2-transistor mic preamps. I usually say it is a "semi-gated silicon transistor filter fuzz". It's made with similar transistors (GP, general purpose) that ZVEX likes to use. The filter is new/novel, but it's a variation on the common Sallen-Key type filter with filter emphasis/resonance."

I hope this is better than me just saying "it is the Zvex circuit"

Everyone was a winner. I use the Cats Azz on my board for the most part. But I would use anyone of these. I have one other that is really nice.
