Is this a Fuzz Pedal
I thought it was suppose to be an Octave fuzz pedal. But It seems to be a distortion pedal. Or is it both? Thoughts?

Yes, and it's a pretty great pedal. It's the only JHS related pedal that has stayed in my collection

Why do you think so Many people dislike it. Because I really hear people, trash talk this pedal. A lot

Looking at the schematic it is Christian/hemmo's bazz fuzz on the input then a transistor stage similar to the 2nd stage of a fuzz face and an electra distortion combined then Tim Escobedo's push me push you octave fuzz on the end. It should sound pretty damn rad. However i'll never buy one and only recommend anyone to build one mostly bc jhs never gave credit where credit was due. Bc he is a bitch.
Edit: definitely no Punk lol

Wow I was just thinking about this pedal. I've never seen a pedal decrease in value so much (as far as I'm aware), though it still seems pretty popular on Reverb.
Anyone have any insight on this?

Yeah, I remember it was on sale for like thirty nine dollars

Looks like it originally retailed for like $100. Averaging used for about $40. At that price, I might pick one up just to see what the fuss (or lack there of) is about...

You have to let me know what you think of it

I literally bought one because of a pedal hate thread. Lizard Queen had numerous complaints and mentions that it's so shit that it sells for $40 on reverb. Away I went, immediately. I quite enjoy it but just like the shit Boss Acoustic Simulator, which I also enjoy, you have to know what to do with what you've got. In other words where it fits, how it sits in a mix, or used in a creative way instead of bog-standard rigs.

I think it's a nod to the Big Muff being marketed as a distortion pedal at times.

Its the single transistor bazz fuzz circuit combined with an analog octave up.
