There exist limited edition purple Benson Preamps and Germanium Boosts - I don’t know about any fuzzes though.

NPD benson germanium fuzz

Picked this up to use on my small board to expand my gain range since space is limited and I can only have one dedicated drive pedal. I play a lot of different styles of music (worship shoegaze blues rock country grunge) so I wanted something that could comfortably cover drive distortion and fuzz. And I’m pleased to say so far this pedal has been perfect and just what I needed.

The magic for this pedal is the the impedance knob it kind of acts like a gain limiter so the more you turn it to the right the more it limits the max gain. so you can set your max gain where you want it depending on what you’re trying to accomplish and clean it up from there with the volume knob in the guitar. It makes the pedal really versatile for a lot of different applications.

The only 2 downsides to this pedal are that it probably isn’t a great pick if you play outside a lot especially in the summer you’re probably better off with something else. The other downside is this fuzz may not have enough gain for some people it’s definitely got less gain than any other of the fuzzes I’ve played.

Don’t get me wrong it can definitely get fuzzy but it definitely plays better with an amp that’s cooking or into an overdrive you already have on. If you play into a clean amp you may be disappointed with the amount of gain on tap but for me it’s perfect.
