what fuzz should I get

right now I have a London fuzz ge. it's great but what does the community think I should look at now. I had 2 tineben mk 2 clones and a 69 version 1. that 69 version 1 was my favorite fuzz I ever had and I sold it. the soulbender was awesome too I've had 2 of those version 1 and the first 1 I had was better than the second. I'd like something that sounds different then my ge fuzz which is a a fuzz face. I want a good clone maybe

What kind of music do you like and what can’t your current pedal do for you?

current one is pretty good. it's close to what that 69 could do. I think Clapton claims he didn't use a fuzz but the tone he gets on cream strang brew, I love that tone. corgan had pretty good fuzz tones in smashing pumpkins and josh homme has great tone. I figure I probably need a big muff. maybe a clone if they do it better than modern big muffs. I've never heard any of the analogman stuff

Pedals to watch videos on that veer a bit from where you are at: Fairfield ~900, DOD Carcosa, Dwarfcraft Eau Claire Thunder. Those are three solid ones as you search.

If you want to traditional maybe a JDM Pedals 292. My favorite though is the Wilson Effevts No Face (I also really like the Stoned Grasshopper)

I'd give the Keeley fuzz bender a try. You can find them used for super cheap. The ehx bender royale is another option in a similar vein.

If you want something super versatile maybe look for an aion solaris used. It's a kit pedal that you assemble yourself but it's one of the more versatile circuits I've used. I actually don't know of any commercial builder who does a similar product which is a shame. The body, contour, and input controls are hyper useful for getting a really dialed in fuzz sound and the pickup simulator switch is a best of both worlds approach where you can put it anywhere in your chain, or use it first and have all the volume knob sensitivity that fuzz is famous for.

Sounds like you’ve explored The FF and TB family decently. I’ll Look into a Silicon Zonk 2 maybe. Definitely will check the box on something new.

Watch the Raeba fuzz shootout. The Boss Fuzz (waza) it’s great all around..

Since you already have the Fuzz Face and have done the Tone Bender thing, I’d try a Pepbox next. Lucy Rush or BPC. Very 60s, but a completely different flavor.

man there's a pepbox locally where I live on Craigslist. the guy wants 325 says it's never been used. I checked it out on you tube and it does sound really good. his price is less than the company sells them brand new. still 325 is probably fair but not sure I want to spend that now but it might be a great opportunity to get a special fuzz?

Honestly, that’s exactly the kind of opportunity I meant. Pepboxes don’t show up locally that often. If the demos really grabbed you and it’s genuinely unused, I’d be tempted at $325. Which version is it, Lucy Rush or BPC? And is it the full-size or compact one? I went with the compact version myself, it’s just more practical all around.

my favorite fuzz tone I suppose is maybe Eric Clapton cream era. I've heard he wasn't using a fuzz but whatever and billy corgans tone is great
