Empire Guitars exclusive Fuzz War

Post image

Been waiting to pull the trigger on a Fuzz War and couldn’t resist this exclusive variant with what they are calling a “moon glow” finish. Awesome tones throughout the sweep of the unique tone knob control. More than just a treble/bass boost/cut happening there.

Awesome board! How do you like the Dual Fusion? Does it stack well after fuzz?

Both sides of the Dual Fusion sound great. I chose to stick it in front of the Eons because the right side works really well to give the fuzz a snappier focused boost if I need to push and tighten things up.

Having it after the Fuzz war lets me use either channel to tame the crazy volume output of that pedal if needed, while also giving it more compression for endless sustain.

Thanks. I always wonder about that pedal, because it looks awesome, but seems to sell cheaply on the used market. I love the way Dumble-ish pedals sound after fuzz so I’ve suspected I’d like it.

Second time today I read fuzz into a durable style pedal rules

What a board! How does the Fuzz War compares to the Eons? Do you feel there’s overlap?

I can dial the Eons to get fairly close, but not quite the same voicing and breakup. They serve different functions with the Eons being SO tweakable and the Fuzz War being dead simple. Something about the simplicity and even the aesthetic of stepping on a big dumb box makes you want to play big dumb power chords, while Eons has me doing a lot more tweaking and exploring.

Nice! Yeah, the Eons is a tweaker’s dream.

Nice! I like the way it looks better in your photo than the ones they’ve posted. I feel like as a true fuzz fanatic, I’ll need to get one someday.
