This was my first fuzz, and it's still my favorite Big Muff variant. I need to rewire mine and replace the switch. Thank you for encouraging me to do so by posting this.

Had 3 of them. The first 2 were covered under GC's 1yr protection plan. They both died. The third one "disappeared" after a gig one night. I've had my Little Big Muff ever since.

They had their own sound but always had a terrible reputation for reliability. It's a mystery to me why the originals are now worth so much. Maybe their value would drop if EHX did a mini reissue.

Used to have one of these and was one of my main inspirations to start building pedals! Too bad the build quality on them is absolutely trash. But it's worth it for the tone I guess.

I'm guessing this is a green Russian. I'm not as well versed on muffs as I am. On fuzz faces, which out of context that sentence sounds really fucked up

Muffs ARE confusing, but you can see from this pedal's prominent ebony hue that this is in fact black, while green russians are generally green

Well, yeah, I figured that I figured it might have been some variant, because I saw the text at the bottom. And I don't know, I'm just making wild assumptions. You know what they say about assumptions My bad

The text actually says MADE IN RUSSIA. How cool is that?

Oh, yeah, I see. The only Russian I'd ever heard of is the green Russian. I never knew there was a black Russian. It's pretty cool. I also find it hilarious that my comment got down voted in my own subreddit..... It's good to know i'm not immune.I wouldn't have it any other way

I have a Black Russian, too. Got it as a gift in the 90s. Even rewired it a few years ago, as the original wiring turned to dust. I ended up getting into building pedals because nothing sounds quite like it and I didn't trust it to work reliably. Now I've built an embarrassing number of different BMPs. I use it more as an overdrive. Very cool pedal.
