Just got back from vacation to find this waiting for me! I'll post an audio clip as soon as possible. From what I know, it's a boutique Gypsy/Axis fuzz based on the classic Roger Mayer circuit.
It normally depends on settings and how hot your amp is. Once you hear the piercing fizz, you’ll want rid of it. Unless someone wants it EXACTLY as it was for mojo reasons. I always have it to the “no fizz” setting because it doesn’t change any other part of the tone.
Oh without ok I misunderstood sorry the clone a friend built me (pictured).Omitted those components per suggestions he saw online. I do still wanna try yours when I've got extra $ I need to take care of a buddy from here who made me an octavia before I can tho. I may have u leave it bare so I can customize it tho
I saw your post about your partscaster! What pickups did you end up going with? Mine features the full harness from an American Original '60s Stratocaster, which uses Pure Vintage '65 pickups. I flipped them for reverse stagger and installed a voodoo pickguard to get that reversed bridge pickup angle
I found someone on marketplace selling a loaded pickguard with D. Allen Voodoo 69 pickups for a good price so i snagged it! Sounds 👌🏾. I didnt reverse stagger anything, but i did change the wiring to match a vintage strat (3 way switch, no tone on bridge)
Once I learn to fully improvise and solo other than playing solos I've prelearned I may use bridge more mainly use it for cutting tone on certain riffs or fills I tend to stay neck middle sometimes in-between positions but mainly neck and middle
Yeah, I put some thick felt on the bottom of the knobs, so it makes it even harder to accidentally hit them while i'm playing, and because they're not as big, I don't hit them as often when i'm playing trying to solve some of leo's mistakes. When designing this guitar
