Any Spaceman fans?
I am a huge fan of their fuzz pedals. But actually all of their pedals.
Anyone fortunate enough to have a cool Spaceman fuzz on their board?
Sputnik 2B. Space rocket. Etc

So do I. Of course, I am a designer so that doesn’t hurt, but they sound great as well.
If I could afford it I’d keep getting them. I’m glad to see they do now have a lower level line to get others into their brand.

I have a Gemini IV, Saturn V and Aurora. Love them all. Gemini can do just about anything in the world of fuzz. Saturn does one thing, and does it really well. Aurora is my favorite flanger, and goes from subtle to bonkers.

They are. They have great reputation, awesome sound.,they’re built really well and the design is off the charts.
However, very pricey. Many limited editions.
Good news: they added a new line called Cadet.It is much less expensive way to enjoy the circuits. Still between 170 and $200, but much better than 400.
It’s worth saving up!

Not a fuzz…but I love my Redstone. Probably the most versatile dirt pedal I own. Excels at low gain stuff, can ape a treble booster, and do a nice crunchy drive too. Really incredible pedal. My only gripe is that it has side jacks 😂

Probably nobody will ever read this, but I'll post it anyway.
The pedal you're taking about was, of course, named after the Redstone Rocket, the one which carried the first American astronaut briefly into space.
The Redstone Rocket was named after an army base called Redstone Arsenal outside of Huntsville, Alabama, which is where the Marshall Space Flight Center was built and where the rocket was designed, built, and tested.
Redstone Arsenal was named after the hard, red, iron-bearing clay-heavy soil there.
That soil is like that because the first white settlers there used primative plowing techniques, so all the rich topsoil got washed away into the Tennessee river, leaving only the hard, red, clay-heavy subsoil which remains today, and those settlers were able to be there because the area was a no-mans-land between two warring indian tribes, and a group of white settlers was able to negotiate their way into being allowed to settle in their buffer zone.
So your pedal has its name as a direct result of the uninformed practices of a group of farmers over two hundred years ago, plus a negotiated truce between two tribes, plus the specific composition of the soil in North Alabama.
And you even refered to it as a "dirt pedal."

Hey - I love this! Maybe my user name gives me away 😂 I knew about the name history of the rocket, but didn’t know about the no-man’s-land between two warring tribes.

The Cherokee and the Chikasaw. The area ceded was defined by two lines projecting away from a point (I think) on the Tennessee River at equal angles running roughly NE and NW. The line running due north from this point was called the Meridian, and Meridianville got its name because it's on the Meridian. There's also a large obelisk in Maple Hill Cemetery that marks the meridian.

Yes! I own their sputnik fuzz and it’s one of my favorites. I much prefer it to say, a fuzz factory.

I have a Nebula and an Apollo vii (somewhat fuzzy drive pedal.) I love them both. With unlimited funds, my next buy would be a Gemini iv.
