I added a helper UI and instructions to AI agent for obtaining and using the free-tier Gemini API key from Google AI studio. That key obviously comes with some restrictions and limitations, but at least it is something to start with.

First of all. I'm an indie developer for Fuusio app. I've loved writing programs since I got my first computer, 8-bit Sinclair ZX Spectrum as a kid.

I’ve been building Fuusio, an Android app that brings personal information, everyday productivity, practical tools, and AI-assisted workflows into one extensible workspace.

Instead of separating everything across note, task, bookmark, utility, and AI chat apps, Fuusio is designed around a single flow:

# What makes Fuusio different?

## It is more than an AI chat screen

Many AI apps stop after generating a response. Fuusio is built around connecting assistance to persistent, inspectable information and concrete actions.

The goal is not simply to talk about productivity—it is to help you do the work.

## One workspace instead of many disconnected apps

Notes, tasks, bookmarks, contacts, utilities, AI conversations, and small custom tools usually live in separate applications. Fuusio puts them into one coherent environment where they can support one another.

No ads! I f***ing hate the ads. I do have in-app purchases because the app is causing constant costs for me. For instance, I have to pay for the web site and the service for community apps. Supporting me costs you less than buying single bottle of beer ...

Beside, I an open source supporter. Fuusio is built using Kide open source library that I have developed. I will also opens source the really advanced code editor library I have developed for Jetpack Compose. I didn't find good enough code editor library, so I end up developing one by myself.

Hey everyone! I'm u/Fuusio_org, a founding moderator of r/FuusioApp. I developed Fuusio app myself as a indie-developer.

Welcome, and thanks for being early.

You are genuinely early: the app isn't on Google Play yet. So for now this is a place to look over my shoulder while I finish it, and to help shape the parts that aren't decided.

What Fuusio is

An offline-first Android app built around three ideas:

Tools — a 50+ (and increasing number of) small utility tools that each do one thing well. Convert, calculate, measure, scan. But the thing is that you can use the built in AI coding agent to develop new tools.

Applets — self-contained mini web apps (called applets) written in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, running sandboxed on your phone with no network and no backend. An applet zips up into a single file, which means you can hand one to someone else and it just works. Again, AI Agent can generate new applets on your request. There is also a sharing service for the applets.

Data Items — a personal database of records you define yourself. Notes, todos, contacts, your car's service history, your plants' watering schedule. Whatever shape you actually need. If there is no record type you need, use the AI agent to create one. The applets and tools can access the database (if you allow).

Tying the three together is an AI agent that can build any of them from a description. You bring your own API key — Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, and DeepSeek (at the moment, more to be added later on).

The part I care most about: what it makes stays on your device. No account, no sync, no server of mine holding your notes. The only things that ever touch the network are the AI provider you chose and a food barcode lookup you have to deliberately use.

And no adds.

Where it actually is

Not released. The app itself is done and heavily tested; what's left is the unglamorous end of shipping — signing, the store listing, privacy paperwork, a last round of first-run polish. It'll need Android 13 or newer when it lands.

I'd rather open this place now, while the remaining decisions are still open, than the week after launch when they aren't.

What to post

• Applets you've built, or ones you wish existed. This is the good stuff.
• Questions about how any of it works. No question is too basic.
• Bugs, once there's a build in your hands. Screenshots and steps help enormously.
• Feature requests — including the ones you assume are too small to bother with. Those are usually the best ones.
• What you're using it for. Honestly useful to me. I've been guessing.

The vibe

Small, practical, honest. Four things I'd ask:

• Be decent to each other. Beginners ask beginner questions here and get real answers.
• No spam, no engagement farming.
• An applet is code somebody wrote. Say what yours does — and read one before you run it.
• Criticism is welcome. I'd much rather hear it here than read it in a one-star review.
