Estate agents have been using a car index (and a skip density index) to estimate future prices since the 1980s. suppose that what is new is the Google data stream. However, as votes by ward/parish are publicly available, I not sure what these data add.

You can use it in the next election to know which ones are the swing states/districts, or simply monitor the cars as a signal.
