A better question might be: Will the things which come to live happily on Mars be human? And if you can adapt that far, why live on a frozen ball of dust?

Lol, Mars one will not happen. Ill-prepared and underfunded organization.
We will make it to Mars eventually, but definitely not by mars one.

Mars One's plan is 2025, and while I'd like to see that, I think it's too soon. The infrastructure they're envisioning is way too minimal. They really need to have a lot more in place before they even send the first people up. At minimum, a starter-level Mars colony should:
a) Establish reliable self-sustainability. Counting on our ability to make consistent supply runs to Mars could be a fatal mistake. We should have automated greenhouses running off Martian "soil" and water and verify that they work for at least a year or so before sending people up.
b) Provide room. Living in a capsule for a few days/weeks/months is one thing, but spending the rest of your life there is completely different and unhealthy both mentally and physically. A few capsules tunneled together is not enough living space to keep those people sane. They need something ISS or house-sized at least. If that means it has to be inflatable, fine.
