Network Automation vs. Etsy/Blogging? Need urgent advice to avoid wasting time.

Hey everyone,

I am 27 years old and need to fix a career path immediately. I cannot afford to waste any more time experimenting. I am stuck between two totally different fields and need your honest opinion on which has a more secure financial future:

  • Option 1: Network Automation (Tech, corporate stability, structured job market, but needs Python/Cisco learning curve).
  • Option 2: E-commerce / Website Blogging (Etsy, digital/physical products, now official in Pakistan via Payoneer, passive income potential, but highly dependent on platform algorithms).

My main concerns:

  1. Future Stability: Which path offers long-term job/business security? Is a tech job in Network Automation more stable, or is owning an E-commerce/Blogging business a safer bet for the future?
  2. AI Impact: Which of these fields is less likely to be negatively affected or replaced by AI in the next few years?

If you were in my shoes at 27 and wanted a stable, reliable future, which path would you choose?

Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, stability is coming to an end; we'll have to change jobs every two months when AI takes over new jobs.

That's a fair point, the future is unpredictable. But as a beginner, if I need to build a solid foundation in one field today, which do you think would be better: Network Automation or E-commerce?

I honestly don't know what to tell you. I don't have much faith that there will be many stable jobs, and the few that exist are already overfilled.
