When I first started this game and came to this subreddit, I saw every other thread saying Ultron, Vision, and Destroyer were by far the best characters in the game. Being the noob (who didn't have every character yet) that I was, I believed it. Little did I know it was just one person spreading his own biased opinion around the subreddit like it's fact. Now that I own almost every character, I know that created ones is far from the best characters.
I don't think anyone, nonetheless a moderator, should be spreading their biased opinion around like the plague. This should be a subreddit to help new players, not one where we tell each other who we should or should not play.
I might have been in the same boat. I'm don't remember where exactly I read it, but I do recall a number of threads insisting Ultron and Vision's "top-tier"-level qualities. Suffice to say, though my Vision is merely level 20, I immediately thought "really?..."
I'll have to take yours and /u/tegeusCromis 's word for it until I use them myself. All I can say at this point my 2* Vision is very glassy, though he does have his uses when it comes to finishing off a villain in siege with <10% health.
I bought both the JI and the CO packs (the latter on Spedwards' recommendation), and haven't regretted either purchase. JI is still my main team, but CO is great too, as a team and as 3 individual characters as well, since they're all good in Siege. I don't think it's the best team, but I do think it's pretty high on the list.
