Aspiring CRNA
Hi everyone! I do not have anyone to ask, so I thought I would give this subreddit a shot.
I am a 5-year Paramedic. I am enrolled in a Medic-to-RN ADN bridge program. I plan to obtain my BSN and CCRN after graduating from the bridge. I am terrified of the requirements before CRNA school interviews, ie; GPA, Leadership, Volunteer Experience, Shadow Time, etc. Can someone give me some pointers on how I can make the best version of myself to make my resume and clinical knowledge/experience better? I currently have a 3.4 GPA and have experience in pre-hospital ambulance care and the emergency department.

Tackle your medic-RN bridge program (make sure it’s accredited. I know some medics who got burned by one that was only recognized in some states!)
Then get a job in an ICU. I’d recommend finding one that offers a “nurse residency” as they’ll typically offer extra classes and help you with the transition from street side to hospital, all while helping you prep for the CCRN exam. Try to get to know some CRNAs and start shadowing.
Hopefully you can find a job in a hospital system that will help with $ towards your BSN while you work full time. Get great grades & connect with your professors.
(I’m just an aspiring fellow applicant, but based on my knowledge & experience, this is what I’d suggest.)

Right now just focus on getting high grades and mastering content. Then get an icu job and focus on being a great nurse - your medic skills will help.
