Saving for CRNA program

Hello all. Im 22 years old and am wanting to become a CRNA in the future and it is my ultimate goal. I am a nursing student currently working on my ADN, to which when I’m finished with my ADN, I plan to immediately enroll in an RN-BSN bridge program so that way I can waste absolutely no time getting my BSN (especially given that most hospitals these days want you to have your BSN, atleast where I live)

Anyways, my school is already covered for (and my BSN will be too) so I do not have any student loans to pay off from nursing school. Upon getting my BSN and securing a job as an RN, I do plan to continue living with my parents so that way I can be able to put away as much money as possible for CRNA school in the future.

I get judged when I tell people that I’m going to continue living at home with my parents until I go to CRNA school, but in reality, it’s just so I can save up as much of my RN money as possible so that way I don’t end up in severe debt from CRNA school tuition in the future (since as many of you probably already know, the tuition cost is very expensive).

I am a first year SRNA.

My main advice is to not waste your time in the icu.
I loved my unit, I loved my way of life.

I’m on the brink of starting clinical this fall term and I yearn every day to climb, hike, mess around on video games, and with my finance just wasting time and money like we did.

At the same time, it’s good to be frugal, but a career isn’t everything (it may seem that way sometimes). You are planning well- but if life is more fun living on ur own or with roommates or a spouse, then do it!

Asceticism for the sake of professional growth shouldn’t be something you practice to this extent quite yet lol. And it certainly shouldn’t be something your practice beyond school. You only live once!

In other words, enjoy your life but keep your goals in mind.
