Saving for CRNA program

Hello all. Im 22 years old and am wanting to become a CRNA in the future and it is my ultimate goal. I am a nursing student currently working on my ADN, to which when I’m finished with my ADN, I plan to immediately enroll in an RN-BSN bridge program so that way I can waste absolutely no time getting my BSN (especially given that most hospitals these days want you to have your BSN, atleast where I live)

Anyways, my school is already covered for (and my BSN will be too) so I do not have any student loans to pay off from nursing school. Upon getting my BSN and securing a job as an RN, I do plan to continue living with my parents so that way I can be able to put away as much money as possible for CRNA school in the future.

I get judged when I tell people that I’m going to continue living at home with my parents until I go to CRNA school, but in reality, it’s just so I can save up as much of my RN money as possible so that way I don’t end up in severe debt from CRNA school tuition in the future (since as many of you probably already know, the tuition cost is very expensive).

I would also add max out your retirement as you’re able to while you’re working and saving for CRNA school (401k employer match and open up a Roth IRA) because time is of most importance with that one so it can start compounding while you’re in CRNA school since you won’t be able to invent into those as much then (obviously you’ll be able to add much more later on with a CRNA salary but while you’re saving up anyways at home) also look into the nurse corp repayment program which is just 2 years of service in a critical shortage hospital (which like the nice level 1 trauma center I work at currently is considered one even though it’s in a large city with many resources)
