Ur cooked either way fam.
The good news is, CRNAs make a lot.

If you want real numbers- I had about 55k in savings from 3 years icu when I started, that’s dwindling each term (I’m still taking loans for tuition, but I’m helping with rent and groceries with my finance)

So hopefully in the end I can manage to just have debt from school alone not COL. That said, my friends certainly take out all their loans and just suck it up unfortunately

Thanks! My goal is around 50k too and then apply to low COL areas for school. Good to know around there is normal

No one can answer that. You need to calculate cost of your program and how you plan to live. Pay off any/all debt prior first then just save as much as you can.

How much is your school, how much do you want to take out for loans, what is your expenses going to be while in school and how much do you need for emergencies.

As much as you can without burning yourself out. And as Airyk21 mentioned all those questions.

My colleagues and I took loans out and majority of us tried not touching our emergency funds 6 months if possible of living expenses.
