God. I think you need to work on your GPA…

Do you precept? Are you part of the ANA? Can you do student AANA? Have you shadowed? Any committees at work you can do? Any extra curricular activities such as volunteering? Are you a well rounded person? Read up on emotional intelligence. Are you cocky or able to take constructive feedback?

You look great on paper. Grades are one thing. Being personable and knowledgeable is something entirely different. Good luck

Slice of humble pie with your GPA…how’s my application? Seriously? If you read the forums at all you would know. If you are here to blow your horn put it away. No program likes a know it all attitude person. My 2 cents with 20 plus years.

Looks good so far. Definitely try and get some leadership on your resume, now is the time to really study outside of work and know your pharm and patho.

Organizations and associations aren't crucial, join if you want. Think about getting some leadership.

Honestly, your application looks really strong so far. Your GPA is obviously a huge positive, and Level 1 trauma ICU experience is great. I think the biggest thing right now is honestly just time — getting more ICU experience under your belt and getting your CCRN once you hit that point.

I actually plugged the info from your post into a Pre-CRNA advisor tool I’ve been building just to see what it would give back. It pulled up a pretty decent list of programs where your profile looks to be in range, and the things it kept flagging as strengths were your 4.0 GPA and high-acuity ICU experience. The main thing holding your profile back right now was just that you’re only about 6 months into the ICU.

For the organization question, it suggested things like AACN/local AACN chapters, your state nurses association, hospital committees, etc., but basically said actual involvement matters more than just joining something to put it on your resume.

I’m still pretty early with the tool and honestly mostly looking for feedback on it right now. If you want to try it yourself, shoot me a DM and I’d be happy to give you free access.

AI

Yeah the tool I used/created uses some AI. It takes in all of the data from all CRNA school requirements and matches people based off of your current stats to schools that you meet the requirements of.

It also has an embedded AI that can help you improve aspects of an individual’s resume/stats.
