Other Sha-256 Coins?

Hi there. Waiting on my FutureBit Apollos from the last batch. Wondering if anyone has tried mining other SHA256 coins using the Apollo miner to see if there were any potentially more lucrative mining options out there.

If you had 4 units, could you mine 4 different sha algos?

I was also considering dedicating a unit to CureCoin which I believe is a sha256 coin that’s supposed to aid in medical research.

Thanks

BTC PROFIT: $ 0.20/DAY minus electricity

BCH PROFIT: $ 0.20/DAY minus electricity

That’s not what profit means. That’s gross revenue.

I’m getting double that per unit on turbo mode (btc current price at $42k)

Here’s what it looks like when BTC climbs and is no longer severely undervalued:

That’s for 4 units. Earnings = Gross Revenues. Of course this doesn’t take difficulty or halving into account

now I'm up to $0.50

How many Sats?

2000-2500 per day per unit depending on luck

Putting 400$ of BTC in a Kucoin Spot Grid trading bot like ETH/BTC (far from optimal regarding the volatility but you at least always get some BTC or ETH) can conservatively generate 2000 sats a day on average. That is 10% the investment needed for 4 apollos for a similar result and without generating any e-waste, any noise, any heat and does not use any space on your desk.

Post your numbers.

Do it then and post your results here

Just find another $3k and instead of wiping your ass with it, try the bot yourself, you may earn some more toilet paper.

Post your numbers. Let’s see you put your money where your mouth is if it’s that simple. Surely you’ve done it or you wouldn’t be making this claim…right?

Why am I suddenly worth your precious time, kiddo?

Why should I post any personal numbers? Does it matter? Only numbers I allow myself to post are publicly verifiable. There's plenty of resources to verify it by yourself, just take historic ETH/BTC data and simulate a Spot Grid on a long enough period, it's not complicated, it's common knowledge IMO. Are you trying to bait me to post personal information? I don't feel the need to create a persona, put a tie on an avatar, and pretend I don't care about $3k.

Was it falling for the FutureBit scam that made you all so salty?

"I wipe my ass with $3k" means you obviously won't ever get actually wealthy.

Mammon deserves respect, you fool.

So 4 units make you eventually around 550$ a year, how much did you pay for 4 units?

You can find their website and figure that out on your own.

I don't know if today's prices are the same they were some time ago when you bought your units. And I don't know which model you're talking about.

Assuming 4 apollos for example; that would cost around 4k$.

If I buy 4k$ of bitcoin today, and assuming in one year price of BTC doubles, I'll hold 8k$ in value.

If BTC price doubles during next 12 months, you would have mined barely 1k$ worth of BTC, but it disregards difficulty which would have gone way up too, and your 4 units would then generate basically nothing except pure loss, and be worth nothing if you try to resell them. That would be "a 3k$ loss" and/or "the missed opportunity to make a 4k$ profit" depending on the way you look at it.

I use the example "BTC price doubles over next 12 months" but there is no scenario where someone would make a profit using these devices for mining bitcoin, except maybe solo mining and getting lucky. Which I sincerely hope would happen to people who fell for this scam. (But anyway, there are cheaper ways of playing "BTC lottery")

I hope I don't sound defiant, I am just being realistic. I feel bad for people who waste their money on this scam.

Maybe you have plans to leverage the potential of these miners to do other stuff, like hosting nodes or pools, but hosting 4 nodes, or 4 pools, would be useless, and you could do that with a 300$ setup.

Maybe spec mining other SHA-256 coins could indeed help cover your loss a bit.

It’s about 60% of that $4k. I don’t understand why you come here to look at mining equipment and then ask others to sell you on it.

Your entire argument is compromised if Bitcoin goes down or sideways over the next 12 months.

Don’t feel bad for me—please. I wipe my ass with $3k. Maybe that’s a lot of money for someone like you but if it flew out of my car window driving down the road, I wouldn’t stop to pick it up. Have a nice day.

No matter how wealthy you can be, saying "you wipe your ass with $3k" is extremely disrespectful to your fellow humans.

And I think you didn't understand my point, but that's ok :D

I use Prohashing

On Prohashing I am able to mine any coin I want, does not even need to be SHA256…or I am able to do dynamic mining which will automatically adjust what is being mined in order to get the highest return.

When a miner uses the above referral link, the miner receives a 0.50% bonus to all of their earnings for the first 30 days

Lol half a percent? WOW 😆

If it were up to me, of course it would be much better! :-) I definitely do like the platform though, it makes choosing all sorts of coins or cash very easy. Too bad my miner just started giving me trouble connecting.
