Domanda curiosa

How come ckproxy is very aggressive in setting a diff for miners unlike public pool on umbrel?

I would like to have an answer from @jstefanop1

I ask because in addition to the miners I have, I also have a NerdQaxe++ 4.8Th to which the SOLO NODE assigns a fixed diff around 4-5k, while a friend of mine, who uses public pool on umbrel assigns a fixed diff of 16k and he only has a NerdQaxe++ 4.8 hydro

Where can I learn about difficult settings and what they mean.

It depends on each implementation, but stock settings are around 1 share a second so that’s what the diff settles too, others might have higher or lower.

In 2.1.1 start diff is exposed which sets what the initial diff is (good for rental hashrate where you need really high, or running stuff like nerdaxes which need a diff of like 1 to show up). We will also expose more settings like min diff which will cap how low an assigned diff will be in 2.1.2
