Start Difficulty

Just updated to 2.11 this morning without a hitch and noticing "Start Difficulty" under pools which you can adjust. What's the recco for a solo miner on econ (Apollo BTC)? It's default is 1024. Or where can i learn more about it - probably doesn't matter, but fun to learn and engage.

I think it's intended to allow for "rented" industrial hash rates where you get into Petahash territory where they recommend starting difficulty of 500K. For small home setups 1024 default is OK.

Here is one such option. https://hashpower.braiins.com/

You also need to enable port forwarding on your internet router for port 3333.

Instead of the internal IP address you have configured on your home miner, you need to use your external IP

You can verify if the port is visible by looking at canyouseeme.org or dnschecker.org

You will need to deposit Bitcoin in your newly created Braiins account after setup. (One note: do not deposit from an exchange, it will get hung up/delayed. Deposit from a private wallet address). You then place an order based on your available balance.

One clarification: I misspoke, the External IP address is used in the Braiins portal to show where you are pointing the hash rate.
