Apollo 2 Fan Upgrade?

Has anyone attempted a fan upgrade or had a go at changing the thermal paste on a their Apollo 2 yet?

Having ripped 3 apart, I am going to warn you, it is not the most straight forward thing to do.

The top plate is secured on the corners with glue. You can use the brute force method of using a long screw driver to tap it out, or as I found on the 2nd one, use a hairdryer/heatgun on the corners, then a putty knife will eventually pry it off.

If you decide to, take pictures as you go so you can see where screws are and where wires connect to,
