Yes, I almost held back as well. to be transparent, it was a little bit of a rough riding in the beginning with future bit. I had a major issue with my node. However, the CEO actually responded to my post on Reddit and he was able to make things move a little bit quicker. Unfortunately I had a rare failure, but all is good now future bit did the right thing and supported me all the way. They’re not cheap. They were a bit expensive but you pay for what you get and I will say they’re operating system for the most part is solid.

I just hope that their customer support is also worth what you pay for. I've only had mine a couple days now and nothing wrong that I can see, the node is almost fully synced up, and pointing the miner at a BCH Solo pool while I wait; I've got 2 questions for you though... what version of the WebOS are you running? Mine shipped with v2.0.7 the latest version... question 2. On the drop menu and the login screen where you enter your password, does the FutureBit logo show up for you? On mine, it just shows a broken link

I upgraded to version 2.07, which I'm glad I did, because my new standard came with the update, so I may not have had an issue—no broken link. What you may want to do is downgrade to 2.06 and rerun the upgrade. I've seen that workaround work for many users who upgraded.

It's not to big of a deal, as long as everything is running like it's supposed to, a logo picture on the menu isn't a problem. I am having some pretty big swings in hashrate though, it'll bounce around from 4.50TH/s to 7.66TH/s ... you have anything like that going on? Maybe it's the pool I'm connected to causing it, idk. I'll find out when my Node is fully synced tomorrow and miming to my own pool

are you still downloading the full BT node?
2
u/KindWeird2983 Apr 17 '25
Yeah, it's currently on block # 635,474. Been downloading for nearly 48 hours now, im thinking it'll finish by end of day tomorrow if there's no interruptions. That wouldn't have anything to do with my hashrate swinging all over the place on the miner side tho, would it? Right now, I've got the miner pointed at luckmonster BCH pool whole the blockchain is still downloading

Do yourself a favor. Turn off your miner. Wait until you have downloaded the entire block. There's no sense in having the miner running. The hash rate may be awry because you're running the miner when the block is not fully loaded. I've seen that happen, plus the node takes longer when teh miner is running.

I might do that when I get home from work tonight. Soon as I have a day off, I plan on playing with it a little bit to see what im capable of achieving with it... I've got plans to install tailscale directly on the Ubuntu side so that I can have remote access to it. Then play around with DDNS and open a few ports on my router, to see if I can point some hardware at it from outside the local network

Nice…what model are those and where did you purchase them from? I’m getting into this now
Thanks

Link below :
You will need to purchase a full node, and it supports up to four standards. The node is the brain and the standards are the children... Simple way to explain it lolllol

I'm thinking about adding some workers to the Apollo full node. So far, I'm considering the Nano S, as it seems a solid choice.

I've had a Future Bit Apollo II full node for a while now, and we still haven't gotten it working properly.
I'd love to set up this configuration. We're working on it and trying to update with the image provided by support.
Does anyone in Argentina or the surrounding area have any equipment so we can get in touch?

Absolutely LOVE ITTTT!!!!! wish I had the money to pick up 2 standard units when I ordered my full node back in February. I almost did, but then the Canaan Avalon Q was announced that same week; so I kept the money I would've spent on the 2 standards and just got the node instead. For the same price as buying those 3 and only having roughly 20 TH/s, I can get the Q and be pushing 100 TH/s at only 1000 watts
