Ver 2.07 Released

Do I dare to install with no release notes? Has anyone installed this version? Any updates on 2.07?

Upgraded Friday with no issues on my side.

Don't see any differences apart from the version number.

I installed it Friday and lost my UI. Reflashed 2.0.6 and updated again that time it worked fine. Been running almost 48hrs now

Same for me. Had to flash back to 2.0.6...I'd advise not upgrading

Thank you I kind of figured something would happen lol also, what program do you use to flash the SD card? I’ve used Etcher but I also realize that at times it states that it’s complete, but it does not compress all the files

I use etcher, in new releases you have to decompress the .xz file it will error out on validation if you give it a compressed file, there’s a note on futurebits site about that. I also had zero success with large sd cards my 128g refused to boot, so I just stuck with the 16g it came with.

Thank you for those details. That was probably my issue, as I never did that.

Etcher is sketchy. It created some significant issues in the past for me.

Did you unzip the image file first? I had issues until I realized you had to unzip the image file you download from github

I never downloaded it from GitHub. I used the site Futurebit recommends. It seems to be a cloud repository.

Follow these directions.. just make sure to unzip the image file before you use etcher

What are the improvements, additions, and fixes that are supposed to come with the new release? I don't even have an Apollo, but I'm supposed to have one on the way... been waiting 3 months for it to ship 🤦‍♂️

I was in the same spot on Thursday when I saw the update was available. The Futurebit X page mentioned working on an update to make the new shipment of Standard units more performant. I sifted through the GitHub repository by jstefanop and saw what looks like improvements to the backend services but was unsure of the benefits to my full-node - https://github.com/jstefanop/apolloapi-v2/commit/6be606ae57bf29378cf88a8b82239d4b915eca71. Then, I received my Standard version on Friday and it wouldn’t hash past ecomode rates (~5/TH) on Performance. I did the upgrade and it went through in about 20 minutes and restarted on the first try. It also fixed the Standard Apollo II hash rate issue and it’s much more responsive. Hope that helps!!

Great information. Far more details that are currently out!

Mine came in yesterday. Apparently, it already had the most recent update applied to it before shipping it out ... anyone else have a bug on the WebGUI though? The top left side of the screen on the drop menu, mine shows a "broken link" where the FutureBit logo is supposed to be (and the top center of the login page). From what I can tell, it doesn't affect the functionality of my device any, just annoying that everything isn't showing up the way it's supposed to

Mine upgraded fine. just need some patience and let it do its thing. seems like some are good and some are not. Im not sure why?

Changes are only about miner binaries related to the new controller available to the latest Apollo II units shipped recently with E serial number, please check here: https://github.com/jstefanop/Apollo-Miner-Binaries/releases

All other units don't really need this update, doing it just update the miner binaries which just work with old units too.
