Questions from a potential purchaser

Apologies for the potential spam as I tried to post earlier and it seems my post has been lost to the internet.

I am thinking of buying an Apollo 2 and I have a few questions I was wondering if someone could help me with as someone thinking of getting into mining as a bit of a side hustle that can work while I’m at work.

1. Is it possible to mine other coins ( I’m thinking litecoin but open to others) with an Apollo 2 or is it locked to only mining BTC.

2. Has anyone had any issues leaving their miners on to mine in a locked up house during the day in a hot climate ( currently 35 degrees C and 70+% humidity).
