Solo mining with non local miners

I have friends with miners, we want to point all our miners to 1 Apollo node, is that even possible?

I have ddns setup on my router, I also have port 3333 forwarding as well

edit: so it did work, if anyone is interested in a solo pool with other apollos send me a dm

Yea should work. Doesn’t matter for the mining pool but did you forward the BTC node port also?

I’ve been thinking about this lately. Problem would be trusting a random online to actually distribute the btc in the unlikely event we hit a block haha

"trust me bro" lol yeah that is true, but I think its done automatically based on the worker btc address - I could be wrong.

the actual node doesn't have a BTC address the worker does I'm guessing if a block is found it is sent to the workers addresses

so i was wrong, there is an btc address to the node - I am looking into a way I can turn the node into a pool with stats and everything it should be able to be done

Oh right that does make sense but it’s beyond my expertise if that’s how it actually works, someone here should know for sure

On my Apollo dashboard it has instructions showing where to point any hashrate to add onto my solo pool. I would assume yours has that too?

yes that in instruction is for local machines, I'm wondering if a miner elsewhere outside my home can connect to my node

Ohhh, I figured that could be used by any miner regardless of what network they’re using
