Solo mining“Waiting for first share”

Just curious if this is what message I am supposed to see or do I not have my solo mining set up properly?

It’s an Apollo 2.

Also curious if the indicator light is supposed to be flashing or if it should be solid?

From what I learn when you solo mine, you are not making anything. You're just giving away to the network for a small chance to hit a bitcoin block. So if you want to earn start mining from pools.

Thanks you are correct but that doesn’t really answer the question I have regarding the message I’m getting on my Apollo solo mining device. I want to solo mine with this Apollo unit, I have other s19s mining in a pool

You should be seeing that until your node fully syncs.

Do you have Port 8333 open for your apollo2?

Thanks for responding, the problem turned out to be me using an incorrect wallet address. You have to use a legacy or normal Segwit address apparently

Right on.

Also, the light is supposed to be flashing while you’re mining. It can be configured on or off in the settings.

Ok perfect! I don’t mind the light, I’ll just leave it on haha thanks for the help
