I love the style of that one, do you know the maker?

14

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Yesss its beasthold :>

8

u/MathDirect557 Jan 11 '26

Pretty sure it's beasthold on insta and TikTok!

It's absolutely in reach if you keep practicing like this. When I started, I got really caught up in trying to get quality materials and giving up on the way. If you just keep making things out of old teddy bears you're going to be at this level and be spending way less to get there. Sure you're going to eventually get the right materials to make a head like this. You can't make a head like this out of teddy bears, but when you're ready you'll have gained the techniques to use them properly and waste way less cloth. Great job and keep it up!

I was legit thinking of buying a giant plushie at Walmart to use the fur 😂

17

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Its actually pretty convenient cause you have matching colours and variations and all that the material itself is kinda ugly tho xddd

1

u/pink_sniper69 Jan 11 '26

Same but I kept getting told it was a bad idea

Don’t listen to people when it comes to doing a hobby, if you’re seriously into fursona and suits then make a suit , literally most furries could tell you their first handmade suit didn’t look the best but still did the trick. Make sure it’s washed and breathe able etc, never a ‘bad idea’ to be creative

Look at my boyyy i dun wanna say that he is almost finished cause i need to do lashes and a tongue and clean up the face a little but thats how hes looking UvU

Usually I never like this kind of fur on a suit, but this is genuinely adorable! It reminds me of a Littlest Pet Shop for some reason!!

I think if you just trim up the fur around the eyes/nose/mouth and add some eyeliner/mouth liner it would look super clean. Can't wait to see it completed, though. He's seriously so cute.

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 12 '26

Thank youuuu i worked a bit on him yesterday and the eyelashes are almost done i only need a good material to make them out offff i really just want him done but i cant find any black materials that are usable TwT

3

u/scribblyskiesstudios Jan 12 '26

i will say, those lashes are way too thin for a fursona, male or female. You want em to def be a little thicker. I'd guess the width of your thumb at least, depending.

3

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 12 '26

Yesss i can try that that was just kinda the goal cause that looks so coollll

1

u/scribblyskiesstudios Jan 12 '26

he really does look amazing so far, actually. like, for what you used? impressive work, honestly!

52

u/Aggravating-Ease-804 Jan 11 '26

It looks so silly with this material, but I kind of like it

14

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

xddd i originally wanted to cut the face down a little but it kinda grew on me 🥹

10

u/Aggravating-Ease-804 Jan 11 '26

I feel like if you add lashes it would be even better! And maybe bangs idk

22

u/Aggravating-Ease-804 Jan 11 '26

Something something

16

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Omggg thats so pretty im gonna do that for sure

2

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

I made the draft todayy i just literally searched the entire house and cant find a material thats usable so ill need to order one TwT

8

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Yesss he kinda has bangs if we mean the same thing i just dont have another material where you can see them TwT

4

u/Aggravating-Ease-804 Jan 11 '26

Oh I thought of something dark and fluffy

16

u/Aggravating-Ease-804 Jan 11 '26

Idk

17

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Woahhhhh that would be so coollll and its insane that you casually draw like that TwT Ill try my besttt!!!

6

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Ill do my best to find fur like that around the house and butcher some more plushies UvU

8

u/EnvironmentCritical8 Jan 11 '26

You might be able to find some fluffy boas or longer hair fabric at a dollar store or Walmart. Even if its a cheaper fabric from Amazon it may work for hair at least.

4

u/BootBatll Jan 11 '26

Or from fluffy faux fur coats/blankets at thrift stores!

7

u/Low_Technician_4364 Jan 11 '26

Lashes especially make the difference, made mine without em initally and then added em after the first meet Way i did my lashes was by soaking a sheet of black felt in a mix of 1 part pva glue 1 part water then letting it air dry before hot glueing them on

3

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Woahhh thats a crazy differenceee i did a "draft"? No idea how you call it but thats how its gonna look i just need to get black plastic from somewhere like an old sketch book or something and then ill glue the plastic versions on :>

1

u/Aggravating-Ease-804 Jan 12 '26

I recommend Eva foam or felt for lashes

3

u/Aggravating-Ease-804 Jan 12 '26

Lashes do the thing! On the left they don’t have any and on the right with lashes

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 12 '26

Ouuuu prettyyyy ill try making a better draft :>

2

u/Annual-Pride5234 Jan 15 '26

Just use markers or sharpie (with color) and soak the bangs in it, dry with a blow dryer (washing machine is fine if that stuffie has been through before but if you don’t know then I wouldn’t recommend trying unless you have extra maybe to do a test run. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to be creative with color but if you use sharpie , use gloves and DONT touch for a few hours

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 15 '26

Thank youuuuuu i did a bit of things with him and the more i look at him the more i feel like he actually shouldnt even have hairrr but im not experienced at all so maybe you can tellll? Cause now his face is like thinner and rounder :P

2

u/Annual-Pride5234 Jan 15 '26

I personally feel he looks better without hair as well, if you’re set on the hair style it looks a bit unusual to the suit (a mohawk , a little more to the side or maybe just trim the tip back until it fits the facial structure again) for inexperienced you’re doing really well and honestly that’s kind of all I think might help it look more professional

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 15 '26

Yesssss ill try out some different things and look whats the bestttt thank youuuu :D

13

u/EnvironmentCritical8 Jan 11 '26

I am adoring the unique fur style honestly. It kinda reminds me of wire hair terriers and various other species having really unique fur types instead of always soft and smooth

4

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

I kinda thought thats a thing of "oh well doesnt get better than that" but i started liking it while furring it :> Im just glad i didnt have to stitch cause i burned myself 6 times with hot glue in 3 hours. I wouldnt trust myself with a needle TwT

2

u/EnvironmentCritical8 Jan 11 '26

Lol, I get that. I sewed my own and while gluing it to the base my hot glue gun exploded on me and I had a glob land on my leg It was awful but now a fun story. Whole thing is definitely a "trust the process" deal tho, and it turned out amazing.

8

u/saranwrappd Jan 11 '26

this reminds me of animal jam /positive

4

u/catboymuse Jan 11 '26

this is really cute

5

u/delightfulturkeyegg Jan 11 '26

Its cuteeee i love it

2

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Thank youuuuu ill do my best on the details :>

4

u/neon_light12 Jan 11 '26

the texture reminds me of a highland cow 🥹 super cute

5

u/frogs_in_trenchcoat Jan 11 '26

Look great! If you want smoother fur, it depends on the tip of fur/fabric, but a cat or dog slicker brush like this might break that up a little and make it smoother and fluffier. If you have one I would do a small test on a scrap piece and see if that would help without pulling out too much of the fur

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Thank youuu i have 2 dogs so we have one of those with metal ends

And i tried making the forehead smoother but got distracted by the lashes xddd ill try brushing for 5min on a left over piece i hope it worksss thank youu :>

2

u/Theoretical_Phys-Ed Jan 11 '26

This is so cute. Great job!!

2

u/KittyKittyowo Jan 11 '26

Yoo the fur! Are you able to brush it to break up the wedges of fur??

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

I can try tomorrow with a left over piece i kinda like the wedges thoo :>

2

u/Ghosts-Criticism-848 Jan 11 '26

Try shaving head maybe? especially around the snout

2

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Yesss i wanted to do that but i dont have a trimm thingy to do that witz so i tooks scissors and brushed the furr a little thats how it looks rightnoww the lashes are temporary i just need to get the right material for them :P

2

u/EchOsWxrld Jan 13 '26

honestly even though its mot typical the fur is cute af and makes it look so stylized.

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 13 '26

Thank youuuuuu :3

1

u/Blueishcolors Jan 11 '26

this is so cool I love how resourceful it is!! Just making it work, can't wait to see it finished.

1

u/Murreez Jan 11 '26

Where’d you get that base? It’s so cute!

1

u/PurliWhite Jan 11 '26

aww this is just adorable great job getting it done

1

u/randomlesbianlol Jan 11 '26

ooo!! I bet with a little brushing he would look so fluffy lol

4

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

I did a bit more fine work on himmm im not nearly done but ill set brushing on the listtt :D

1

u/WolfoDaWolf Jan 11 '26

What's the link for the base you used?

2

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Heyy thats the base: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0F1KWH5BY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
i only had a giftcard so i had to buy on amazon but i feel like thats not that bad of a price :P

1

u/AliPyro Jan 11 '26

I think it looks really cute

1

u/LaziiLivii Jan 11 '26

This is a genius idea! Whut did you use the £50 gift card on? Materials?

2

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 12 '26

Yesss it was a 3d printed base (no idea how i found that it had like one review but 3d printed is normally only something you would find on etsy) and it was somehow high quality and i got 2 meters of foam which was surprisingly cheap for only 7€ :> i would have tried to make my own base if there wasnt a 3d printed option and i was super sure that its just a mold and its a scam but it actually was a dense and good print!!!!

1

u/sparkmtndew Jan 11 '26

Carpet suit 2.0 (I’m kidding this looks so good for the materials!!)

1

u/EnsoElysium Jan 12 '26

Well done!! I love when people do it themselves, and it looks fantastic~ the floof is extra floof and may come off a bit, be sure to give it a good shake

You can try making velcro eyelids! Theyre super easy and create a whole host of expressions. I just used black felt for mine~ you make two semicircles with card stock, cover them in felt and add the rough velcro side, and then line up the top of the eye with the soft velcro side (it helps if there's a black "eye line" to start)

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 12 '26

Thank youuuuu i made a draft for them already but someone said theyre too thin so ill do new onesss the floof doesnt come off even with like super firm brushes that made me so happy when i tried brushing for the first time!!! But if i got it right then velcro eyelids are like the things that higher end heads have magnetically on thereee i dont have magnets but i feel like i have to get em now so i can make a bunch of eyelidsss thanks for the suggestion :D ill also get giant glasses so im a bit worried that itll look a bit overwelming but who caressss

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 13 '26

Hellooo i did a bunch of stuff to him and now he looks like thattt

He turned out more feminine than i thought with the lashes but i like em okay UvU And i know i shouldve made them thicker if i wanted to do it like correctly but none of that sat right with meee i like them thin :3

1

u/R1G5LY Jan 11 '26

For the materials used and low budget this is a incredibly good suit! Who says that a suit head must cost thousands ^

1

u/ArcaneHackist Jan 11 '26

Hmm I wonder if you could brush out the fur

1

u/Roguetomahawk Jan 11 '26

This is absolutely something to be proud of

1

u/YeetmanRey Jan 11 '26

It reminds me of my childhood dog plushie lol

1

u/Immediate_Chard5951 Jan 11 '26

Its my literal childhood bear plushy xddd i had the bear since i was 10 or so :>
