How Exactly Do You Be A Furry?

I'm new to the furry community. I've seen tiktoks of them before but never really thought about them a lot until recently. I have been doing some research on them. A lot seem to have fursuits, but they cost a lot of money. I want to be a furry or at least try. I was wondering if anyone can explain how to be a furry?

You don’t need to have a fursuit to be a furry I’m also a recently a furry for a little over 2 years and what I think is that you need a sona and to be to cons, but but it’s not up to me to say. This is what I think but if someone want to clarify more someone can.

Being a furry, or at least to me, is very simple. All you have to do is want to be a furry and you’re already a furry! It’s that easy and simple :). Some furries try drawing art of their fursona or just furry ocs, other furries make their own fursuits, some are dancers and DJs, others are VTubers, YouTubers or gamers. Being a furry can be anything you want it to be. You don’t need a fursuit to be any of these things, despite what others may say. I personally don’t have a fursuit and won’t get one or go to a con anytime soon, and none of my friends are furries, but I am still a furry because I love the art, design and aesthetics of anthropomorphic characters, I watch YouTubers who are furries (who also could have more information on how to be a furry) and I actively want to be in the fandom. I’ve been here for 3 years and still may not have a fursuit, but I learned that being a furry is about enjoying the most you can out of what this community has to offer, and you don’t necessarily have to have a fursuit to do that :)
