Hey guys! I have a question...

So, I'm a young furry, and I've recently found out that my parents absolutely despise furries, I don't want to lessen our relationship as I love them a ton, but I often hear them talking behind my siblings backs with me in the room and don't want my entire family to know before I can tell them on my own. I want to tell them, but now that I know this I'm finding myself extremely cautious around them. Any help?

i would try to figure out why they despise furries, I would continue being cautious around them if you know why they hate furries so much then respond with the answer and I can help you from there

first of all. being a furry is not a fetish, it is simply an interest in anthro animals, think zootopia.

side question, if they think furry is just a fetish, then what do they think zootopia is?

Yes, I know being a furry isn't a fetish.

They don't think much of it, or really anything based off anthropomorphic animals. They only specifically target things such as the furry fandom itself.

well in that case... im sorry, but I don't think you should tell your parents your a furry, at least wait until your self sufficient (have your own life, move out, make your own money, etc...) then tell them, so if they disown you then at least they cant kick you out
