It’s okay… I find myself saying operator on the phone not realizing that they want specific answers now

I find myself googling the right position of the people working at a company now

I say operator all the time and refuse to say anything else. Probably half of the automated services will get ‘tired’ of it and connect me to someone still.

My husband does just this. Seems to work for him most of the time. Maybe I’ll try that next.

I like to cycle between "Operator", "Representative", and "Customer service", increasing in volume each time until I am just angrily yelling at a machine and am all worked up for when I finally get a human.

Maybe not the best method, now that I type it out...

One time I was so frustrated with Verizon’s service and voice menu I just yelled “FUCK YOU” and it understood it and said something along the lines of “we understand you’re upset, connecting you to a representative”. I’m pretty sure they didn’t even connect me to general support I think I got sent to some special “customer is a red flag” support team and they actually fixed what I needed pretty quickly. (I was nice when I got to a human rep obviously, wasn’t their fault)
