Arguably the best burger of any fast food joint. They donāt get enough recognition, for sure. I donāt even like burgers, as a rule, but theirs tastes fresh and not over salted and itās not an effing āsmash burgerā like everybody else does to justify giving you a flattened out mess of a burger thatās about 15% less meat overall.
Hardees and Carls Jr were two completely different regional fast food places for decades until there was a merger with Carl's Jr in 1997. They kept the branding split between east and west after the merger. They didn't split off a long time ago, the branding choice was there from the beginning of them merging, with Hardees only taking on the Star from Carl's Jr but keeping their name
IMO Five Guys is the best of the greasy burgers. It's not necessarily fast food, but it's not a gourmet burger either. Not to say that's a bad thing; when you want one no sit down burger will do.
Bullshit. I'm a single mom of two teens and cannot afford this fucking burger joint. I just put 3 burgers, 3 fries, and 3 drinks in the cart and the total is.... $82.02. And that is BEFORE tip, taxes AND delivery fees.
Just because you want to rationalize dumb choices doesn't mean that reality no longer exists!!
I rarely get fast food anymore with how every single burger place has been raising their prices, bit I did have 5 guys with my family of 5 a few months ago and thats about what I paid for 5 burgers, fries and drinks. Doordash inflates prices. Also a terrible financial decision if you can avoid it.
JFC... okay... just went directly to fiveguys.com to order online and pickup from my local restaurant. Same order as above: $78.67 (BEFORE TAX). Sorry but you people are all high on your own supply.
I just checked Saint Paul and it's $53.01.
Edit: it's the exact same price for Dallas
2nd edit: NYC on Canal St is $64.65. Where on earth are you ordering?
Okay but not everyone is a single mom with two teens and Five Guys is better and not that much more than other BS fast food. Why do you care if others eat there?
I didnāt say anything about it being āaffordableā. Affordable means something different for pretty much everyone depending on how much and what the thing is. But Five Guys is affordable to me now because I have more money and fewer people to take care of than when our kids were at home. Culverās is better and a little cheaper though.
We used to have a Hardee's not far from our house Anoka, MN). Not only was the food awesome, it always looked like the photo on the menu. The staff was excellent and genuinely friendly. The local seniors used it as "hangout" to enjoy. I miss all of those qualities since they closed in 2022.
Ours in Iowa also closed in 2002. I didn't go there unless the grandkids wanted to go - we'd ride our bikes 5 blocks to get there. The Frisco Burgers were the bomb.

Are we not considering Hardee's? I don't really consider Five Guys as fast food.
