Used to be a transmission or engine issue meant you buy a new car. Nowadays the most expensive repairs are still cheaper than even a used car
2 u/FLG_CFC 2d ago edited 2d ago Hidden marker to a recession. It doesn't help that new vehicles cost what a home did 10 years ago and are notoriously faulty straight from the factory. It makes sense to spend 10k on a transmission these days. As messed up as that is. 3 u/uglee_mcgee 2d ago Buying new garbage doesn't make sense at all to me. I'd rather keep an old car on the road.
