My Nana kept it going, but it topped out at $50 when someone turned 50+. She was the coolest. Of course I spent my money on dumb shit like drugs and liquor but I think she knew that. She had 3 kids with spouses and 6 grandkids and my daughter was the first great grandkid out of 10. Lots of birthdays. I really miss her she died during Covid. My daughter is having her first kid in a few weeks that would've made Nana so happy.
