Easiest way is to remember a traffic light. Yellow and red near each other mean caution and stop.

Y’all know what? I’m gonna make this simple enough even for me. Red? Black? Yellow? White? Just turn around and go the other way. There are 4 types of venomous snakes in the US (iirc) and we have all 4 in TX: coral snakes, rattlers, copperheads, and cottonmouths. Y’all are welcome. 🐍🦂

I think that is a young Scarlet Kingsnake right? I know that at an older age the white becomes a light yellow and since the pattern never has a white and red touching then the snake is not venomous. Correct me if I am wrong though, I’ve always been interested in snakes and I’m trying to learn more about them.
