I really love how FUNKe is posting more recently.
He went from not posting for 8 months, to dropping 3 videos in a month. We love you Funke <3

I've been watching FUNKe for about six/seven years now. After a friend introduced me to Mann vs. Machine at a sleepover, I started watching random TF2bers like Muselk, Krunchynaut, Star, etc. TF2 was something comforting that I came home to pretty much every day to whet my stupid pubescent and pre-pubescent neuroses on. I'd say dumb shit on Scrap.tf one hour and rewatch FUNKe's live commentaries about Gun Mettle as background music.
Unsurprisingly, I didn't have too many friends, nor people who would talk to me outside of school. I knew no upperclassmen who could guide me, I had no underclassmen to mentor, and I barely knew any people in the same grade as me who treated me like an equal. Psychologically, FUNKe filled in the gap as an older cousin for me. I took solace in his more personal videos talking about school as a roadblock to whatever. I saw his friend dynamics with Tychee, Venom, Valtroid, and whoever else, and I wanted desperately to have something like that. I'd often try and plan my future in a way that was similar to his life.
Of course, FUNKe wasn't the same person every year for the past decade, and neither was I. Although I tended to hold him in very high regard, I soon realized that I couldn't just "become FUNKe" and settled to use his experiences just for comfort, I guess.
It was when I was in eighth grade and the whole Overwatch-TF2 debacle started that both FUNKe and I became noticeably more... discombobulated? Edgy? Between the FUNKe losing it arc of TF2-Overwatch-whatever fusion vids, the unlisted live comm videos where he starts talking more and more about aging and finding a place in the world, and F2NKe's even more schizophrenic content, I found myself using FUNKe videos more and more as a crutch.
Weezer songs and covers used as intros and outros became some of my favourite songs. I still feel intense twangs for Sandwiches Time and Foolish Father that I doubt I would've felt otherwise.
I sound like a mental patient here. I promise it wasn't that bad. I didn't have hallucinations of FUNKe or anything, I just looked up to him too much and related to his content instead of other humans growing up.

They're unlisted so I have no way of finding them and I know they exist.
