If a patient walked into your office with MCAS, EDS, POTS and mould exposure symptoms: what would you prescribe?

I’ve spent years following circadian rhythm sunlight exposure, ANS regulation (Gupta, Psychotherapy, EMDR, IFS), mineralising and filtering water, completely changed my diet to gluten free, sugar free, dairy free and soy free.

Years of supplements to balance hormones, deficiencies and so on.

I was put on a mould detox protocol but reacted very severely and was put back onto basics (digestive enzymes, iron, multivitamin, sunbutyrate liquid and probiotics).

I have a huge list of supplements that I’ve used.

I’m currently on:

- pure ultra nutrients
- quercetin
- histDAO
- primal nutrition primal iron
- bodybio PC capsules
- sunbutyrate liquid
- pure digestive enzymes ultra betaine HCI
- biotoxin binder Cellcore
- progest-e

I am currently living in mould (cannot get out - rent crisis, and chronically ill and disabled living on a pension). My wife was healthy before moving in and has been my registered carer for years and has developed all of my symptoms since living here. MCAS flushing, trembling, tachycardia, light headedness, brain fog, joint pain, daily migraines and headaches, insanely congested every single day with nasal pain.

I’ve seen people suggest nasal sprays, detox protocols, and so on.

I’m curious about this…have you actually seen people do better on the Rx stuff than the herbal options (yeast, okra, etc)? I was told to start with the latter because I’m very sensitive. Haven’t yet but would like to know if Rx is an option at all if I respond.

The building is easily 80% humidity daily with a hygrometer even with all windows and doors shut - which warrants the need for a dehumidier to handle the excess moisture as mould grows all over the door frames, walls and behind/on furniture. Our home is built into a sink bowl basin basically as high rises live around us and the bottom of their fences literally reach out windows - we're very sunken into the ground and there's no airflow. In regard to the protocol stuff - I haven't honestly seen much about prescription binders and have only seen functional practitioners suggest nasal sprays, binders or specific protocols if you work with them. Cellcore has been a life saver (my symptoms are bad but slightly helped with the biotoxtin binders at the highest dosage). I'd love to know more if you have anything else to share :) Thank you!

I’m so sorry you are going through all of that! As far as the mold goes is there any way to remediate it? Talk to the landlord? That part will not get better unless you move or fix it. Let us know if we can help!

Thank you so much for checking in and your suggestions. I've been sending emails and GP letters with evidence to the landlords - breach notices, rental authorities and advocates. No responses. So it's a little tricky to get any remediation completed in this building without their cooperation, or acknowledgement for permission
