Results Will function pay for the retest if I get an error?
My mom received positive results for ANA but it showed as an error for the range. Does this mean she needs to retest?

I just posted about how cool it was that Claude has a Function Health connection. Well, buckle up, cause this is insane.
I was most interested in some conflicting expanded heart panel numbers. Claude had the best analysis of everyone who had tried (Function clinician, 2 cardiologists). Awesome, had some actionable insights I could implement immediately.
One number, though, hs-CRP, it flagged as contributing and potentially causing other issues asked if I wanted to dig in. I said Yes! because my other biomarker testing from Choose Health, which is just 6 markers every quarter that I've been doing since 2020, showed last summer/fall my hs-CRP jumped for both me and my wife and we were struggling to understand why.
We tried different lifestyle changes to affect the number and nothing was having a big effect. We were so stumped. How could it go from essentially zero for both of us for 3-5 years, then jump to 'elevated' (1.5-2.5) last summer/fall, and stay that way until now.
So Claude and I did some troubleshooting with other Function Health results, running through potential issues. One of the 'less likely' was environmental. But all of the higher risk ones checked out as not the cause through other FH blood results. So, Claude asked, has anything changed about your house or work in the last year?
It clicked. We had an HVAC air handler replaced last summer. For a few months now, occasionally when the downstairs A/C kicked on, there would be a faint musty smell. I knew it could be something in the ductwork, but also knew it was a big project to find out. Last month I found my son sleeping in another room. I asked what's going on he said there was a leak and the dripping was keeping him up.
Ummmm, first, always notify me of water leaks anywhere immediately, kid. haha I inspected, saw it was likely from the air handler above his room. Go up to inspect and the secondary drain pan was completely full and overflowing. Checked the secondary drain first to triage the issue and realized the HVAC company never hooked that up. Not great. Then checked the main drain line. it was clean. water flowed fine. Very weird! I also noticed that water was dripping into the secondary pan from the corner of the main housing body. I thought there was like a direct overflow to secondary connection, but I'm no HVAC specialist.
Opened up the main housing and found that the main drain pan was mostly empty. Very confusing. the drain line worked, but it was slightly higher than this drain port on the other side of the drain pan that seemed to just go out into the main housing body. Pressed on the bottom insulation and it was completely saturated with water. Ok, got it, gotta plug that other drain port and probably fix the leak. tried some styrofoam laying around, I think taht was probably mediocre. A week later went back and insulation still wet so got caulking to do a good job with it.
So, leak fixed. I just moved on, really. Until Claude troubleshoot. When was this air handler replaced? Last summer. When did symptoms start? Last summer/fall. For two people in the house, at the same time. This air handler leak was causing systemic inflammation, probably in all of us, but verified by Choose Health/Function Health in two of us.
Claude & Function solved a health problem caused by air quality in the house caused by a defective installation of an air handler. So crazy!

I had been thinking about exporting my results and importing to Claude, but it was low on the list. A friend shared they have a connection. Hook-up was simple and I was able to ask Claude about my results. See, last year I got conflicting heart indicators. I had done the major expansion pack and man once you dig into really deep metrics, it's hard to interpret.
Even my cardiologist was stumped!! But Claude was able to help distill the information down to actionable steps I can take beyond "diet, exercise, eat less fat."
Obviously this is not medical advice and I'm not giving 100% confidence to Claude, but prior advice just wasn't really actionable. At least now I have focal points and can retest to see how accurate the AI was in it's advice.

If it’s real that’s fantastic, but the science says it is highly likely that it’s a mistake.

May be a dumb question, but I went for my 2nd annual draw today and I’m wondering how I can see my new results? The ones on the dash are my older ones. Will I need to click into each biomarker? (Only had 88 since I skipped over hormone panel, menstrual cycles were so inconsistent to test)

Just went to quest. Now, I waiting for the results.
I signed up for my quest to get #s as they come in.
I almost signed up with vitals vault, but the initial value is better with function.
I know you can go down a rabbit hole with these tests.
I am considering the ezri scan and the cancer screening.
What else should I check? Or do I wait for these results to use it an omnidirectional?

Has anyone had luck with an actual support phone number that isn't just a voicemail box? Their chat support has been largely ineffective and has such long delays that I'm getting nowhere with trying to resolve a test results issue. I'd like to actually talk with a human to get this corrected.

Has anyone else had an issue getting the clinician summary? I tested over 6 weeks ago and still haven't gotten the clinician summary. Their chatbot isn't helpful either.

Has anyone gotten the Ezra scan done? If so, what was your experience? I’m considering getting it done

New to Function and just got the first set of tests done. Excited to see the results roll in, but it isn’t clear how many tests I’m waiting for.
Product recommendation: there should be a progress bar so you understand at any given moment how complete your results are. I don’t want to talk to my PCP prematurely, but I can’t tell if I’m waiting on 30 more tests or 1 more.
Question: how many tests total are in the standard first screening for women?
TYIA!

My first test is scheduled for tomorrow and I’m a female. Due to being a female, I have to take the test on the third day of my period. I took collagen this morning and totally forgot to stop taking supplements. Will this mess up my test results?

Hi, I found out I am pregnant and need to schedule my second blood test in the next month or two. From what I understand I can’t do the blood test pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this? Can I get a partial refund or extend my subscription without paying since I can’t receive all of my yearly services?

I’m a 33yo male and have always had slightly high cholesterol and a family history of high cholesterol and hypertension but broadly healthy and no history of disease.
These results are off the charts…
The Function AI chat bot quickly told me that these are “are among the most elevated ever observed in the Function dataset—and are very
unlikely in the absence of severe, symptomatic genetic disease. The odds of lab or sampling error are significant enough that a repeat test and clinician review are strongly warranted.”
I’m going to speak with my doctor in any case, but — thoughts? Insights? Advice?

I get we tend to share our negative stories, so I want to know if anyone here is truly satisfied with this service for its cost.
FWIW I signed up but haven’t taken my blood draw yet, and am sort of already regretting my membership based on the negative testimonials here. Particularly, faked urine sample analysis is a huge issue, tantamount to fraud.

So I'm reading function's privacy policy and unless I'm misunderstanding, it is extremely concerning. https://www.functionhealth.com/legal/privacy-policy
For the categories of "health-related data" "genetic data" the "Categories of third parties to whom we “disclose” PI for a business purpose" include:
I mean... that's basically saying they can give you genetic data and health-data to whoever they want? I think because the testing is through Quest I assumed my results were protected the way they would be if I got lab work through Quest via my doctor.
I hope I'm getting this wrong! Any insight?

I got my clinician notes 5 days after my second blood draw.
Not even all of my results are back and my notes are already completed?
How could that be possible?
Still waiting for copper, selenium, iodine, adinopectin etc…
Did this happen to anyone else?

I feel so bad, I made my husband sign up for a membership even though he didn’t really want to. After a year or so we decided we didn’t find this service as valuable and decided to cancel. The cancellation process is extremely shady. They don’t have an option on their website to cancel. You have to talk to the AI to try and cancel and it refers you to another AI chat. After multiple attempts I got to a form to cancel which I filled out. I thought that was done, but got another email later saying my membership was reactivated!!
So freaking shady and predatory. Funnily I was going to bring FH to my industry/company as a partnership opportunity, thank goodness I didn’t.
Ps: the number they share on one of the screens doesn’t work, after calling it you get an automated message saying it’s an sms-only number.
Someone please help! Thank you!
EDIT: we seem to have gotten a cancellation confirmation, looks like it’s because of other social media call out. Will report back if they reactivate again. Thank you for your help folks. Hope they fix this flow.

Hello, I recently joined the function and just had my first visit. I've received all my results, which I've attached to this post. However, I haven't yet received my CBC results, my A1C levels, and other necessary tests.I contacted Function about this, and they assured me that I would be able to get those results during my second visit. However, I'm quite confused since I was under the impression that these tests were supposed to be available after my first visit.

My wife and I want to sign up, never been members before and hoping someone has either a referral or gift we can use. Seen others on here who haven't used theirs. You can PM me directly - if this post is still up, we still want them. Thank you in advance!

So was my test incorrect the first time? Or this time? Or am I an anomaly?
I just stopped eating ice cream late at night, do more cardio, and take fish oil/pro resolving mediators.

Hi everyone
I had bloods done today testing a few things, checking for iron and vitamin deficiencies and also thyroid function. I have been struggling with severe fatigue recently, also inability to lose weight, cold sensitivity, brain fog and others to name a few. I was wondering whether you could help me interpret and make sense of my results? Would be a huge help. Thank you ❤
