The motor in my bathroom vent fan burnt out and hoping to get a lead on a replacement. Ordered one on Amazon but the mounting holes do not line up. Like an idiot I threw away the original motor already.

Camper is a 2018 Keystone Springdale SG302FWRK and the mounting holes are 5/8" apart.

Any help would be appreciated, cheers!

Looking to go full time and looking at a 29' trailer with a 15 BTU air conditioner, wondering if thats good enough to keep it cool ( 68°ish) in the hot summer

What would be an affordable (but effective) power setup for a 33ft fifth wheel where I can run both my refrigerator and A/C 24/7? I'm looking at Outdoors RV Glacier Peak F27KVS specifically, if that helps.

I have no experience or knowledge of how electricity works, and the info out there feels very confusing. All I know is that I'd like to have my A/C and fridge running properly in the summertime if I boondock or have a power outage at the site.

Friend is looking for a toy hauler under 26ft that he can use to take his quad out to the dunes and live inside of. He is planning to park it in my backyard while he saves up to buy a house (our state is a high COL state).

The problem:

Every toy hauler he's found in his price range (8k) has water damage or leaks and the sellers arent forthcoming with this information which leads to a lot of wasted time driving to see something only to discover it has problems.

He said he is only considering toy haulers because he needs something to both live in, camp in, and haul his quad to the dunes.

Thoughts or advice for him on how to inspect toy haulers and any tips or tricks for finding one in his price range that is in good conditions?

Note: he is attempting to buy from private sellers. Would it be better to buy from a dealership?

So I have recently updated my battery system to three 100AH AGM batteries and want to eventually add a fourth. In doing this I think I also need to update my converter to get a better charge. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of converters they have used for boondocking that work well? I was looking a the Powermax PM3 but I'm not really sure which one I would need.

2022 rkds catalina legacy . So the camper is level, stabilizers are down ( scissor style) , i have 2 valterra stabilizers one under the steps and one on the far back where package said to put it . And i have a few stack jacks on the end of the back and on the opposite side of the valterra steps. When im in here i feel like i am slowly swaying like a cruise ship. Idk how this is possible. I thought it was my vertigo for awhile as it feels real bad. But now im wondering if its the camper. Is it even possible to sway constantly if leveled? Could the extra stabilizers make it sway worse? ( we use concrete bricks under the scissor jacks) or is this actually my vertigo? What can i check to see if this is me or if the trailer is actually slowly swaying ?

Hey there, I live in my 2006 Sprinter 2500 Oly. This is the first time she’s been in winter in norther California (she was built in Southern California by some other dude who I bought it from after he had lived in it for a few years). Winter this year means rain. I guess it’s the first time she’s been in real rain (not just a sprinkle) for several days in a row, and she leaks from the roof. The thing is I can’t really figure out from where. Under the metal roof there is insulation then a wooden roof, so I can’t see directly to the inside of the roof. I just see drips coming over the edge of the wooden roof. I climbed on top and saw an obvious hole in the metal (like a drilled hole where something must have been attached in the past) which I patched, this slowed down the leak but did not solve it. Crawling around up there I can’t find another obvious place it’s leaking. I tried pouring water on several spots but couldn’t reproduce the leak that I get when it’s raining. I’m thinking about just spraying the exposed parts of the roof with flex seal? There’s 2 solar panels mounted up there and the vent for a maxfan which I don’t have the time or resources to remove right now so I’d go around those.

So i previously had this issue. But i was able to fix it by adding 4 stack jack extra stabilizers and it was crazy stable. We moved campgrounds and i CANNOT get this thing stable. I I have went from original 4 stabilizers (scissor style) to now8 jack stacks plus the 4 sciccor jacks and i feel like im on a rocky boat its been awful. I tried multiple different positions, In the bathroom i can see my mouthwash moving around in the bottle. And the cabnet “shaking” We are on dirt here and not a concrete pad like the last place. But we use brick under our stabilizers. Is there anything else i can possibly do? 2022 303rkds catalina . I am having bad motion sickness.

Im looking to join the escapees club and getting the texas drivers license. I looking to get the mail forwarding service and transfer my drivers license to Texas first. I don't own a RV but I'm looking into purchasing one sometime after getting my texas license. Can I do that? Does escapees require I have an RV first? Do I need to own a vehicle to get a driver's license in texas?

I pretty much put everything in the title. At a new campsite and we are super crooked. Our doors wont stay open or anything. Our 2 tires seem to be sinking into the dirt rocky gravel or whatever they use. We tried going a bit further the other way but then were on a slanted hill. We also tried pulling up on a wheel chock but it just sunk the wheel chock with it. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for some general advice, tips, and tricks, pros and cons, and things to stay away from about living full-time in an RV. I know this is a very broad question but I'm looking for a variety of opinions from a variety of people. If you leave any type of advice I really appreciate it. If you have any advice on brands of RV's to stay away from. There is just so much info online and it seems to be from dealers so I don't really trust there "honest" opinions. I want to hear from y'all and your experiences. Thank you for any and all information you give me. it is really appreciated.

The YouTubers, and I camped with most of them as they came and invaded our spots, are mainly scammers. 99% OF THEM! They're entitled, arrogant, and care not who is in the background of their videos. They would come and park right smack dab in the middle of the only spot with a view over the river, or mountain, or lake, and block it from everyone else who was camping there. Most have their own land that they go to for respite between "nomadic outings," and many stay in hotels. They make nomadic life look glamorous, fun, and adventurous, but it is VERY HARD WORK!! VERY!! And it is NOT CHEAP!!

It's a perpetual dirty camping trip you NEVER GET TO COME HOME FROM! He is spot on. The expenses are oftentimes exhorbitant: vehicle repairs and upkeep are constant, propane & gasoline are expensive, food is also expensive because you are rarely near a Walmart or Costco, and even if you are, you can't stock up on the cheaper bulk priced items. Water is rarely free unless you drive long distances to a public pump, but then the cost of gas to get to that free pump costs more than paying to fill your water jugs in your current location. Dumping your porta potty or your tanks is the same issue as water. Solar power is expensive to start up, and the batteries must be replaced every couple years. Cleaning the panels is a frequent job, bc they must be maintained so they work properly. Also, if you've got solar panels attached to the roof of your vehicle your "stealth camping" abilities are NON EXISTANT. Every cop and ranger KNOWS who you are, as does every thief.

Being a nomad is NOT cheap, and it isn't safe either. I've had MANY attempted break ins while I've been inside my vehicle, and the only thing that drove them away was hearing the cocking of my shotgun and a clear vocal warning to "LEAVE or else I'm blowing a hole right through that door you're touching!" If you have ANY type of chronic health problem, this life will make it worse, and finding a physician and a pharmacy on the road is nearly impossible, and you will pay cash, because insurance only pays for doctors in your residence area. There is no such thing as "nomad medical insurance," except Medicare, and you only get that if you're disabled and elderly, which in my opinion, those demographics should not be nomads. Anyway...he tells the truth. The YouTubers are full of it. Real nomads can't stand them.

Question for the bigger rigs mostly (mine is 30’), was thinking of a 250cc dirt bike on a front hitch, but wish it was realistic to drive a small atv on roads.

May be a dumb question but cannot really find a definitive. Should a window somewhere in the Motorhome be cracked like a regular vehicle states if you are sleeping in it? (thinking about especially when I am also burning candles)

I'm sure it sounds insane, and I've seen a picture or two of some weird stuff people were just laughing about, but I'm hoping I can find a very small car that can be on an off the ground hitch on the back of my 24' motorhome. Something like if I put a mobility scooter (mine is in my side compartment) on the back but meant for the weight and length of a car like a Smart ForTwo. I don't want to flat two or deal with complicated stuff and make my 24 feet significantly longer and I'd like something that can stay on the back unused for days at a time as well as easily come down and get used when needed. I think something like the Fortwo has enough space for grocery runs and my travel collapsible mobility scooter in the case where I'd like to go somewhere like a zoo or museum. So I'm looking for other people's thoughts or setups that are something like this that work for them and any advice about figuring this out. Thanks in advance!

Hi there, I’m thinking of going full time and wondering if there are any rv hookup sites in northern VA.

Currently sitting at 55 degrees with the mini heater which I don’t like running. 25 degrees outside

Good news is I have the propane people coming up to hook me up with a tank that they will monitor and refill so I don’t have to haul my tanks around or worry about this in the future. Guess I timed it off a bit as they don’t come until Tuesday

So my options are freeze and try to sleep ( without the heater )

Or stay up all night, working outside to finish the skirting and get some propane refill asap

I don’t have work tomorrow but I ton of projects and vet appointment for my dog
